There is no denying that the late range of Jaguar Land Rover vehicles are innovative, great looking and market leading products.
So, what went wrong with the sound systems? The audio in all models, in its basic form is worse than poor; what were Jaguar Land Rover thinking? Have you noticed that as you turn up the volume the sound gets thinner and thinner until all you are left with is a pair of eye wateringly harsh tweeters screaming across the dash, completely drowning out what’s left of any low frequencies from the under-driven woofers in the doors?
Even the 825w upgraded Hi-Fi isn’t hugely better; the door panels resonate and vibrate, the system lacks any detail or sense of involvement, it is at best, a poor attempt at a Hi-Fi System.
We have spent a huge amount of time developing three completely stealth, hi-end, audio upgrades to bring you true Hi-Fi to your Jaguar Land Rover
The first two solutions are compatible with vehicles which have the base (non Meridian) audio system fitted.
The third option is for vehicles equipped with Meridian Audio
Option 1 "The Voce Upgrade"
The first step in the upgrade process is to remove the front door cards from the doors and completely acoustically treat them. This involves installing a total of three layers of sound proofing to the door panel and door inner cavity; we use a combination of Dynamat Extreme and Skinz, two of the market leading products.
This completely changes the acoustics of the door. As well as killing resonance and vibration it will also reduce the road and tyre noise passing into the cabin from the outside world.
More importantly, the door is now ready to be fitted with the upgraded speakers. In this installation we use Audison Voce 3-way components; that’s a new 6.5” woofer in the lower section of the door, a 3” mid-range in the upper section of the door behind the original grill and lastly a new tweeter in the quarter trim.

Above Right: This image shows the Range Rover Sport inner door cavity, completely lined with Dynamat Extreme sound proofing, this is incredibly important when installing any speakers, it is also 100% water resistant.
Above Left: This is an image of the Audison Voce AV K6 mid-bass driver mounted on a 18mm MDF baffle behind the door panel, this is to ensure maximum performance and sound quality.
Above Right: This shows an image of the Audison Voce tweeter installed beautifully into the quarter trim, this is the only visible sign that we have upgraded the audio system.
Once we have completed the work in the front doors, approximately a days work for one installer, we need to look at the amplification. For this we use the highly acclaimed Audison Forza, this is an 8-channel class D amplifier with a 9 channel DSP processor in-built.
This allows us to take the output from the Range Rover amplifier, sum the signals together, de-equalise, select the crossover frequencies and then output audio to the front speakers completely actively, this means a separate channel of amplification to each individual speaker for the ultimate in control.
The Audison Forza amplifier has a very complex digital equaliser built in. We have spent days tuning the system to match the Range Rover Sport environment and are now able to upload the finely tuned profile to every Range Rover in seconds once the installation is complete, saving hours of expensive set up time. Each vehicle is then individually fine-tuned as a final touch.
Sub bass is provided by a JL Audio 8” Hi-Output compact subwoofer, which is in turn driven from the subwoofer channel of the Forza amplifer. This provides tightly controlled and extended bass with no loss of load space at all. The subwoofer is hidden behind the boot panel, the rear quarter of the Range Rover is also treated with sound proofing to ensure the bass is projected inside the vehicle rather than just rattling the trim. Its not possible to hide the subwoofer in all vehicle varients

The Range Rover Sport Premium Audio Upgrade takes two days to complete, once the installation is complete there are no visible signs of the upgrade except the small Audison logo on the new hi-end tweeter.
The Voce Audio Upgrade costs £2899 fully fitted
Option 2 "The Prima Upgrade"
As much as we all love great sounding music in the car, not everybody is in the market for the Voce Upgrade, that`s why we developed a second more affordable solution, using Audion Prima speakers.
We still spend the same, essential amount of time and effort sound proofing the front doors and acoustically treating them ready for the new speaker set-up.
In this option we use a 2 way speaker system front and instead of two separate amplifiers we use one multi channel amp that still benefits from the Audison built in digital processor.
We also use a slightly less powerful Audison subwoofer that is again, completely hidden behind the boot side panel in most models
The result is a hugely improved sound system with extended, warm bass and a detailed top end. The added benefit of the sound proofing is of course no vibration and reduced road noise.
The Prima Audio Upgrade costs £1999 fully fitted.
Option 3 "Audiofile-Meridian Upgrade"
If you have purchased a Range Rover with Meridian Audio and you are disappointed with the underwhelming, flat sound and rattly door cards, don`t panic, we have an amazing solution for this car which takes the sound quality to next level.
We have successfully fine tuned an upgrade solution to work hand in hand with the Meridian electronics, allowing them to drive the incredible Audison Voce upgraded front speakers. As always we fully sound proof the front doors and acoustically treat them, this creates the very best environment to get ultimate performance from the upgraded Audison Voce speakers.
We then beef up the bottom end with a new JL Audio, completely hidden subwoofer, driven from a hidden class D amplifier to give really controlled, rich extended bass, bass you can feel as well as hear.
The sound of the Audiofile-Meridian Upgrade is beyond description, it really needs to be heard to be believed, its the sound system this car deserves.
Incredibly, we are able to supply and install the complete Audiofile-Meridian Upgrade for just £1999.

Rear Speaker Upgrades - vehicle dependent
The options above a designed to upgrade the audio system in the front of the vehicle, they will all retain the factory rear speakers and of course benefit from the upgraded bass, if however you wish to also upgrade the rear passengers listening experience (model dependent) then we can both sound proof the rear doors and replace the speakers, there are two options for the rear.
Rear Door Voce Upgrade £849 fully fitted
